Amanda Hahn Cantrell, a dedicated educator and compassionate foster parent from Winter Garden, Florida, will be remembered at a celebration of life on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The event is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Baldwin-Fairchild Winter Garden Funeral Home, located at 428 E. Plant Street in Winter Garden. Ms. Cantrell’s life centered on her family and her deep commitment to helping children, leaving a significant mark on her community.

Originally raised in Palm Beach Gardens, Ms. Cantrell found her true calling in the field of education. Most recently, she taught at Dillard Street Elementary School, where her impact extended beyond basic instruction. She dedicated herself to encouraging young minds, building confidence in her students, and making a lasting difference in their lives. Her positive influence was widely felt, reaching not only her students but also their families and her colleagues, establishing a broad and positive legacy.

Beyond her professional career, Ms. Cantrell's profound compassion was evident in her role as a foster parent. Alongside her husband, Seth Cantrell, she opened their home to numerous children over the years. Together, they provided much-needed love, stability, and a sense of belonging during challenging periods in these children's lives. By offering her heart and home, Ms. Cantrell provided essential care and unwavering support to children who were most in need.

Above all, Ms. Cantrell cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to her children, Andre and Ariel, who were the focal point of her world. With her husband, Seth, she built a family foundation rooted in their shared commitment to fostering and caring for children. She will be remembered for the warmth she shared with her family, the children in her care, and the many lives she touched through her dedicated work and generous spirit.

Amanda Cantrell is survived by her husband, Seth Cantrell; her children, Ariel and Andre Cantrell; her parents, Dawn and Robert Hahn; her sisters, Heather Hahn (with Stuart Bartlett) and Jennifer Hahn McLellan (with Jason McLellan); and her nephew, Owen McLellan. While her life concluded far too soon, the enduring love she shared and the significant difference she made in the lives of others are expected to continue to be felt for many years within the community she served.

In honor of Ms. Cantrell’s vibrant spirit and her particular fondness for bright colors, her family has extended an invitation for guests attending the celebration of life to wear cheerful attire. They specifically recommend pink, which was her favorite color. This request is intended to reflect her joyful nature as friends, family, and colleagues gather to remember and celebrate her life and memory.

The family has requested that, in lieu of sending flowers, donations be made in Amanda’s memory to the Central Florida Foster Children’s Association (CFFCA). This organization is dedicated to providing vital support for foster children and their families throughout the Central Florida area, continuing the spirit of Ms. Cantrell’s own deep commitment to foster care.
